The Center has prepared a Report on the implementation progress of the 2023–2024 Action Plan on the introduction of innovative information and communication technologies (ICT) in the countries of Central Asia. The report has been published on the Center’s website and is available at the following link: https://cesdrr.org/uploads/docs/2025/otchet-realizaciya-IKT.pdf
The Plan includes the development and application of geographic information systems (GIS) for risk monitoring, mapping, and forecasting, as well as training specialists from emergency agencies in the use of GIS and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). For this purpose, an online unmanned aviation school was established, which has become a key platform for training UAV operators both in Central Asia and beyond.
The Plan also includes the development of a regional catalogue of hazardous facilities and the updating of the INFORM Risk Index at the subnational level. Special attention has been given to the introduction of innovative technologies for risk monitoring and forecasting. All eight components of the Plan were successfully implemented during the period from 2023 to 2024.
